Hago CARRERA

Hago CARRERA

Performance, 2019. Duration: 30 to 45 minutes. A woman (me) runs for a good half hour while answering two telephones. She responds, resolves issues and reacts, but she also wears herself out and forgets who she is.

Based on real everyday life that the audience can easily identify with from the beginning, Hago CARRERA (I make CAREER) uses a series of telephone conversations and the situations they generate to make the audience share in a weariness (verging on exhaustion) that is digested thanks to humour and freshness.

The unstoppable physical action humanises this performance, which unfolds like a shared experience.

Hago CARRERA (I make CAREER), there is no doubt. The artistic challenge is to maintain the interest and expressive power of the actions it brings together, both of which are unstoppable. In addition, I focus my efforts on enhancing and including the complicity and participation of the audience, as well as the characteristics of the place where the encounter has taken place.
